Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) operates the USA’s second largest public transportation system. On an average weekday in excess of 1.5 million rides are taken on the CT. Around 400 displays were installed during 2008/2009, with up to 6 per platform in each direction.

Vertigo Digital Displays (the precursor to Praevar) worked with Titan/Intersection Outdoor and the CTA to build digital signage for installation on platforms across the City.

Displays were 52" diagonal in Landscape format, with both static and dynamic content running 24/7.

A total of around 400 displays were installed during 2008/2009, with up to 6 per platform in each direction.

PLACARD VS Series

The original 700nit product was highly innovative for the time, using modular construction and direct-air-cooled thermal management.

Praevar 1500nit PLACARD VS series product is today's latest derivative of this architectural solution, using a passive thermal management solution within a slim IP55 environmentally sealed housing.
